About this webinar

The first customers are the hardest to get, and they rarely arrive through the channels that work once a business is established. Advertising that performs well for a mature brand does almost nothing for a brand nobody has heard of yet. This session is about what actually works at the very beginning.

Facilitator Declan Ó Briain ran a B2B services business for eight years. His first twelve clients came from direct conversations, not from any form of marketing. He now teaches a structured approach to early customer acquisition that does not depend on an advertising budget.

The core of the session

Participants work through how to identify a specific group of potential customers, how to reach them directly without it feeling like cold spam, and how to have conversations that move toward a sale without pressure tactics. There is a section on referrals: how to ask for them, when to ask, and how to make it easy for satisfied customers to introduce others.

The session also covers a few digital tools that are genuinely useful at this stage. Not a long list of platforms. Three or four specific things that take an afternoon to set up and that generate real information about whether outreach is working.

This is not a session about social media strategy or content calendars. Those things have a place, but not at week three of a new business. The focus here is on direct, human contact with people who might actually buy something.
